First Degree Speeding
Operating a motor vehicle at one (1) mph or more over the speed limit but not exceeding 15 mph over the speed limit.
This offense is considered an infraction and is punishable by up to $600. -
Second Degree Speeding
Operating a motor vehicle at fifteen (15) miles per hour over the speed limit but not exceeding twenty-five (25) miles per hour over the speed limit.
This offense is considered an infraction and is punishable by up to $1,000. -
Third Degree Speeding
Operating a motor vehicle twenty-six (26) miles per hour over the speed limit or;
Operating a motor vehicle over one-hundred (100) miles per hour on the roadway.
This offense is considered a felony and is punishable by up to $5,000 and 60 Months imprisonment.
