Absolution of Criminal Liability – A defendant may be absolved of criminal liability for a criminal offense EXCEPT for crimes involving murder or homicide, if the condition of "Actions Under Duress" is met.

Definition of Duress – The condition of "Actions Under Duress" shall be considered met if the defendant is BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT the victim of C1(I) Criminal Threats, or C1(G) Criminal Mischief (including threats against the defendant's family, associates, or friends), and as a result of being a victim of at least one of these crimes, the defendant reasonably believed that their best course of action was to commit a criminal offense at the implicit or explicit request/demand of the perpetrator.
